new staff

Well...I've been in RA training for 3 weeks. And I have to say that the best part of it has been my staff. I'm not going to lie, I wasn't sure that I would find the close friendships that I had on my Simmons staff in my new UP staff. But...I'm glad to say, that I have indeed found those friendships. I love these girls with all of my heart. They have already been such a blessing to me. I love that our temperaments are so similar. But, I also appreciate that we all have different strengths that we bring to the team. The Lord definitely knew what He was doing when He put us together. So, Katy, Julia, Alysha, Courtney, Hannah, Stephanie, Alison, Wendi, and Paula, thank you for being you and bringing joy to my life :)

Well...I'm back at CBU and just got done having dinner with this girl :) And I must say that I am so grateful that the Lord brought her into my life. Kelly and I have been friends since freshman year. But, we had the incredible opportunity to serve on an RA staff together during our sophomore year. I'm so glad that the Lord used that opportunity to build our friendship because we've been close ever since. I am so blessed to call her one of my best friends. She never ceases to encourage me and to challenge me to strive after the Lord. The joy of the Lord truly dwells within her and spills out into those around her. Even when facing challenges, she never fails to look for the good of the situation. And in the process, challenges me to do the same. So tonight, I'm grateful for a beautiful friend that encourages me and also challenges me to grow.

year 4

tomorrow begins my fourth year at CBU. I can't believe it. It seems like just last week, I was moving into the dorms as a freshman. But, tomorrow I move into CBU for the fourth time. I'm so excited for this year. CBU has been exactly what I needed and I can't wait to see how the Lord will continue to use it to shape my life. But, to move back to CBU tomorrow means that I have to pack my room today. So, I guess I should get back to that ;)
